Concerts at The Wharf 2009
Introducing JB Davis.

Our friend and family member J.B. had a stroke during late December 2008.  While J.B. is making great progress he requires additional time before he can return to Our Cigar Bar to Entertain. Updated October 1, 2009

You've heard him in New Orleans on Bourbon Street for years, now you visit JB Davis at Our Cigar Bar.  JB was influences by Sam Cooke, Ray Charles, BB King, Bobby Blue Bland and Otis Redding.

Born in Mobile, Alabama,  May 26, 1944, JB's mother moved to Moss Point, Mississippi when JB was still a baby.  Growing up with his musical tastes being formed by listening to Sam Cooke, Ray Charles, BB King and all the great Mississippi blues singers, it is no surprise that all of those influences are heard in JB's music.

Singing is a gift from the Almighty says JB. No formal musical training, the talent was always there.  JB played piano for years on Bourbon Street and in night clubs.  His strength as a singer comes from entertaining audiences late at night and early into the morning.

One has to have a great love of the music to be able to perform the long hours that are required on Bourbon Street. Those long hours have helped JB to develop a repertoire of “crowd pleasing songs.  JB's songs are a good representation of the variety of material that has become the back bone of American music.

From Sweet Home Chicago, to What A Wonderful World, Sitting On The Dock Of The Bay, and House Of The Rising Sun, JB “Brings It On Home with great style.
